2011 - 2019 Volkswagen Jetta - RESET INSPECTION MESSAGE / LIGHT

Is Inspection or Oil Message Light ON on your Volkswagen VW Jetta? Follow the following procedure to remove/reset it. This works on 2011,2012,2013,2014,2015,2016,2017,2018,2019 Volkswagen Jetta!

PROCEDURE:
1. Turn off the car
2. Turn on the Hazard Lights
3. Push and keep holding 0.0/SET button (right side of the odometer)
4. Push the brake pedal and keep holding it
5. Turn Ignition to ON (do not start the vehicle)
6. Release the 0.0/SET button and press once button on the left side of odometer

I have seen this and a reset without the hazard lights. I used both, this one second, and this way got rid of the 'service' message! Thank you!! The other non hazards but otherwise the same may have done something? Anyone know the difference?

What cause this light to turn on? I had this wrench and a mile indicator counting down. It would turn off after about 15-20 seconds of starting the car.

I have a 2012 vw and it does not have that button that was pushed near the gear stick so it didn't work for me 😕
