Ahoy Maties! This guide will take you through the Legend of the Sunken Kingdom Voyage, which can be purchased from Larinna for 50 doubloons AFTER you have discovered all 30 journals in the new sunken shrines as part of the Sunken Kingdom (Season 4) update in Sea of Thieves. Finishing this voyage will also get you the Curse of Sunken Sorrow character skin.

To any who might read this, I recommend you take the chest with you into each shrine and stash it in the mermaid statues. When you get the key take the chest out of the statue place the key in and then place the chest with key inside back into the mermaid statue then return to your ship. Not only does this allow you to get the key out of the shrine without completely finishing it but it also helps to keep the chest safer


Edit: This method seems to work most of the time. I have tested it multiple times and I have talked to other people who have done it this way but some people in the replies are saying this has caused the keys to disappear. I don’t know how this is happening since I haven’t been able to replicate it so consider this a disclaimer.

You don't have to swim the first two keys up anymore, you can put them in the mermaid statue and retrieve it at your ship.

Okay yeah I need a crew for this, leaving the ship unattended for THAT long with no way to put the keys in the statues is asking to get PvP'd

as of season 7 you can store the key in the statue, just not in chests

For anybody who has problems with sharks, if you are sitting in a air nozzle, it glitches and the sharks can't attack you

During my voyage i had the shittiest luck. First i get attacked by a reaper galleon during the compass part (i then switched servers), me and my freind did the shrine of hungering, no problem, midway to oceans fortune, a reaper galleon attacked us, we then fought for like an hour, midway through a brig came and attacked us, eventually we all sunk, i had buried my chest on cannon cove, so it was okay, i sailed to oceans fortune, completed it, and ancient tears went smoothly. Over all shitty luck.

This job can take up to 40 minutes. And if you're dead, youre done. There are always useless SoT sweats that will attack you. I got 3 keys and chest for 5 times. And 5 times some tryhard galleon or a Brig came up and killed me. This will probably be a waste of hours for you too. I'm done with this. I'm not doing it anymore. And I would suggest you to don't do it so.

Awesome guide! If your ship gets sunk while unattended and you lose the chest with say, 2 keys already in and unlocked, do you have to start from scratch or are there check points for this voyage? Thanks again 😁😁
