Remember when the Tesla fanboys said Toyota was going bankrupt? Imagine saying the most profitable automaker going bankrupt. 😆🙄🤦

Off topic but I know Kirk used to work at a Lexus dealership. Went in to test the IS350. The dealership experience was AMAZING. Really impressed and I've been to Mercedez and BMW. Lexus is top of the line

.New Tundra increasing sales and market share is not surprising at all. New tundra is extremely comparative and overall a very good truck. Meanwhile the new Tacoma is already the number one selling mid size truck in it's segment. Q2 2024 mid size truck sales:1.Tacoma 47.789/2nd Colorado 26.901/3rd frontier 20.219/4th canyon 11.351/5th gladiator 10.489/6th ranger 9.030/7th Ridgeline 8.626. overall haters online will always be crazy and dramatic yet sales-real people always prove them wrong

I have a 24 tundra iforce max limited with off road package. The grill surrounding is now body color and in sport mode, this truck outperforms Tesla man. I really like it. Get around 17 in city in normal mode. Not bad for the sheer size of it. Happy so far. Love it…

Ram is low on truck sales right now but I think when they get the 2025 models out they will go up, past the Tundra.

Can’t wait for the new RAV4

The Tundra used to be a very popular truck, it hit a low point in 2021, but they finally got around to refreshing the product and now with all the fun trim levels it is once again a desirable product. The fact that Ford, GM, and Dodge have raised their prices so high, makes Toyota's top truck price competitive once again. Even with the recall, people know that Toyota stands behind their products, and will last a long time. I predicted in February that Toyota would have their best year in history in North America in 2024 because Hybrids are the perfect product for 2024.

I think the Detroit three have known for the last 40yrs exactly why Toyota’s sell as much as they do, but they don’t give a crap. It makes me wonder how dumb the executives have to be to keep making crap cars and thinking they’ll maintain their market share. Look at Ford which used to be “quality is job number one”. They’re the absolute worst in the industry with recalls.

If Toyota put the 5.0 V8 in the lexus in the Tundra then I'll think about it.

I’m open to the idea of a truck. I like the idea of the Maverick. Big enough for me and available with hybrids. Can’t help but feel like for all the damn inflated prices they go for, I’m open for other truck options

This does not surprise me. Yes, the Tundra has a 100k recall, but on its heels there was a 500K recall of earlier Ford F-150's and then a 500 - 800k recall on Chevy trucks over the last few months. So yes, Toyota really mucked up with this current Tundra, but the others are worse. Most purchasers are going to see through the current anti-Toyota mob mentality. That being said, RAM has actually really been improving their reliability so to see them falter is odd. The new RAM 1500 with the standard output engine(lariat/Rebel and below) are really nice and should be the most reliable trucks. Perhaps it is the price increase? Curious to see where that goes.

As much as people like to hate on the Tundras online, I get compliments almost daily on my Platinum hybrid. Now… it does have a proper lift and 35’s, but they definitely stand out and turn heads compared to the big 3.

Price is what’s killing American trucks, I’d take a Chevy 2500 over a Tundra any day. Paying $100k…….. fuck that. And the Tundra is still expensive $68k for my Platinum trim and she’s still gutless towing my boat.

People online have spent the last several months acting like the outgoing generation of Toyota trucks didn’t have a couple of major recalls of its own. They spent years swapping out Tacoma frames, by comparison the issues with the new motors have been a cakewalk.

I think they figured if it gets recalled it will be fixed for free so might as well upgrade to the tundra for a pretty nice discount whole you can and save some money due to the circumstances📈

I think people are trading their Detroit 3 full size pickup trucks for the Tundra the new Tundra is so much more competitive now and the Tundra having more market share than the Ram is misleading as it only counted last month but the Ram is still outselling the Tundra by 100k YTD but what’s more shocking is that the Ram is getting outsold by the RAV4, Model Y, and CRV losing its traditional 3rd place
