Lawrence: Jack Smith just legally cornered Trump's favorite judge

The fact that she did not voluntarily recuse herself at the very beginning of the trial, ie: so as to avoid any hint of a conflict of interest (or quid pro quo), tells us everything we need to know about her integrity.

Trump knows that as long as Cannon is there, he's fine. Once they select a jury and jeopardy attaches, she will dismiss the case. That's why she's avoided ruling on so much. Unless Smith can get rid of her, Trump walks with no trial.
