Drivers of Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV are all experiencing serious battery degradation. As per Unplugged EV youtube channel when those cars arrived in Australia Mitsubishi couldn't sell them fast enough and those cars were sitting unused for extensive periods of time and batteries were not charged. Their battery packs degraded quite badly due to low state of charge. Mitsubishi refused to do anything about it and claimed that it was normal. Community got together and threatened Mitsubishi with class action due to poor customer service and negligence and then Mitsubishi turned around and agreed to replace those battery packs under warranty. Maybe your friend Tim should contact Mitsubishi and report his poor EV range Tom.

Some of us (by some of us, I mean most of us) would like a safety net, with current market (most people that drive petro vehicles would rather not run out of gas or worry about running out before getting to their destination).
Don't forget the trees and grass behind you in video need carbon dioxide and the grass and trees in return make oxygen. Maybe we should put corks in volcanos and put big tarps over the oceans to catch the biggest producer of co2.

The manufacturers pathetic claim there is not enough ‘charging infrastructure’ in Australia? There are far more electric charging points in Australia than petrol stations! Every house has electric power. They are still in the ICE mindset that you have to go to a servo and ‘fill up’. Just a delaying excuse.
