i have the kindle PW and kindle basic, and prefer the basic so much more due to the size. also, the page refresh on dark mode is something i noticed in both kindles and i actually found out that their hardware is programmed to refresh every 8 or so pages in order to prevent ghosting :)

The color is gorgeous! I recently switched from Kindle to Kobo (Libra Color & Clara) and I lowkey wish they'd do cute colors like this. The Clara is similar in size to the Basic but has a warm light which is preferable to my own eyes. I tried the Palma before Kobo but unfortunately got a unit with uneven front lighting. It was so distracting as the bottom 1/4 of the screen was way brighter than the rest of it. So I had to return it. I was very sad, as I also thought it was the perfect size. Hope you are doing well. I am so sorry to hear about your grandpa. Sending you love.

I have a 2021 Paperwhite. I just bought the 2024 Kindle basic and I love it. It’s so small and light that it feels like a toy lol. I’m still going to use my paper white for bedside reading but I plan to use my kindle basic for when I’m out and about since it’s so small and light.

Thank you for the tip on downloading fonts...the one you had on there is adorable! I love the Match basic so much. I also got the new paper white, but I find the basic's light weight is so much easier to hold. I also love the recessed screen.

I just bought mine on Black Friday, I had saved up for the Kindle Matcha, but they were all sold out at least in Mexico, so I bought the Siganture edition for 125 dollars, I do not regret it, without a doubt, one of my best purchases.
