I like this scenario but the only thing that’s missing is more detailed troop mapping. It does not hurt to look up a country’s road and city systems to plan out an invasion.

Very unrealistic. Kazakh Communists hated Kolbin and supported the previous leader, Dinmuhammed Kunaev, who made the Kazakh economy grow and was against Perestroika, because of which Gorbachev replaced him with Kolbin, causing Kazakh Communists to protest on the streets. Plus, Kolbin was in power just until june 22 1989. Nursultan Nazarbayev came to power then. But to make it realistic, it would require the return of Kunaev in 1989, instead of Nazarbayev coming to power and purging the Perestroika and Privatisation supporters from the government

Great video❤But i don't think that UCAS(USSR) would support Ukraine for two reasons...
1)as Ukraine would be seen as a pro-western country, puppet of capitalism, UCAS would be most likely neutral...
2)As China and Russia will become growing partners, UCAS would slowly start to support Russia...

Great alternate history video, with some great interesting data. However, I think it could have been improved with the following elements:

I think it was a mistake to change the flag and rename the country (I think the Soviet Union should have been kept) and not to mention the possible Russian Federation's destabilizing campaigns in this reduced Soviet Union (probably supporting the pro-capitalist separatists defeated in those civil wars that Kolbin took advantage of to take over the whole of Soviet Central Asia), while the Soviets stir up Yeltsin and Putin's Russia by supporting the communists within capitalist Russia (forcing Putin to focus more on the socio-economic well-being of his fellow citizens in order to curb the pro-Soviet nostalgia that would be through the roof due to the presence of that mini Soviet Union) until they reach some kind of agreement mediated by the People's Republic of China.

On the other hand, there is no mention of what is happening with the Chechen wars or of the Uighur minority, which also resides partly in Kazakh territory (Zyuganov could have created a small Uyghur SSR as compensation to China, which could use it as a destination for displaced Uyghurs while the Chinese depopulate Xinjiang so that that region would have a demographic majority of Han Chinese).

Besides, the internal and external repercussions of the Nagorno-Karabakh war could also have been mentioned, since that mini Soviet Union would have a large percentage of Turkic people, but Azerbaijan was always an ally of Turkey, the Eurasian member of NATO with the largest army after the USA. Furthermore, Iran (an essential neighbour for this mini Soviet Union) is a historic ally of Armenia against Azeri expansionism (perhaps because Iran would love to recover the Azeri territories lost to Tsarist troops in the 19th century).

Another detail to consider would be a greater distance between the People's Republic of China and the Russian Federation, which would be more isolated if the West only wants to continue to deceive Moscow, so it might try a risky move to find a new, more loyal ally: For example, it might agree to sell Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands to Japan in exchange for massive Japanese capital investments in Russian territory, especially in Siberia, and the dismantling of American bases in Hokkaido and North Honshu, and the ban on installing new American bases in the new Japanese territories.

And not to forget the changes in Afghanistan and Belarus: This mini Soviet Union would have continued to support the pro-Soviet government, but it would have been great to see if your video considered that such support could prevent Afghanistan from falling into the hands of the mujahideen who later became the Taliban. As for Belarus, Lukashenko and his supporters would likely be torn between their personal preferences for joining that mini-Soviet Union and maintaining a status quo with Moscow so as not to tempt them into trying to overthrow him by someone more controllable.

Finally, the video could have mentioned an openly pro-natalist policy towards Russians and Ukrainians in order to increase and maintain the Slavic majority in the Soviet population, since since the end of World War II, demographic trends indicated that the Central Asian ethnic groups in the USSR doubled or even tripled the birth rate of the Slavic ethnic groups in the USSR.
