How A Successful Black Settlement Was Erased (Secena Village)

Most people who walk through Central Park, New York, from tourists to lifelong New Yorkers, have no idea of the history under their feet.
In the early 1800s, New York City was filling up and expanding rapidly. People were desperate for ways to escape the city’s chaos. That urgent need for peaceful green space led to the creation of Central Park, which would become a national treasure and model for weaving nature into the big city.
But that version of the story leaves out a lot of important information.

For one thing, this area in the heart of Manhattan was and is the ancestral homeland of the Lenape people. For another, Central Park’s development was only possible because of the forced displacement of Seneca Village, Manhattan’s first significant settlement of Black property owners.

Some might say the creation of Central Park represents the racism and discrimination against blacks that still haunts the United States today.
In this video, we'll uncover the reasons behind the destruction of Seneca Village. We'll talk about the successful black people who were there, revealing a history that is hidden and meant to be forgotten. It's a heartbreaking story that needs to be heard and remembered.

Join me on a transformative journey as we honour our black ancestors and reclaim our world through the lens of Africa. Through engaging dialogue, we will explore the rich tapestry of African history, culture, and worldview, discovering their profound relevance in our lives today. *It always baffled me how some immigrants (like the Irish and jews) were discriminated against but later join forces with the same ppl who were disenfranchising them to attack Black Americans....*

A Ron DeSantis type of action. He doesn’t want people to know history. But the saddest part is BLACK “conservatives” that follow him and the Trump type.

When the winners of war write History then you will Never Know What Actually Happened because you are reading "HISTORY" from their perspective.
