Jason, as well as the powered pump, have a hand cranked pump fitted as well. Also, if you do get filters fitted. Install a filter bypass to use for pond filling, watering plants etc. keep the filtered water for your living quarters.

I think it looks good and if you need to insulate it you can buy the rigid foam which you can get in 4x8 sheets and even put a plug in on the inside for a small heater with temp. control if you get a really cold night.

Good job BUT you've made one bug mistake you put wood directly onto concrete big no no you should have put some kind barrier between the wood and concrete even if it just a piece of polythene, plastic, concrete attracts moisture would will suck the moisture from the concrete 2 or 3 years the word will rot I made the same mistake on my shed how to take it down and rebuild it.
