Every church must run background checks and check references on any potential candidates before those candidates are allowed to work with children. The candidate should also have been regularly attending the church for at least 6 months before being allowed around the children.
Then churches must enforce a two adult rule that at least two adults are always required to be present with children. Leaving children with only one youth leader is extremely risky. And that includes in cars as well. Two adults are needed per car when children are also in the car.
If a church does all the above, it's about impossible for an adult to abuse a child when another adult is present and watching.

I remember when Rick Joyner referred to the IHOP situation was a "nothing burger" Rick is self deceived because he is the true wolf in sheep's clothing, I think of this scripture -

Do you know if Rick Joyner was at the long ago closed “Daystar Ministries” Martinsville, Indiana? In the 70’s maybe 80’s. They had a branch in Illinois and I remember that name Rick Joyner even though I was a child.
