Richard I believe you are supported by Comp Cams and nothing against that by any means. Roger Vinci owner/engineer and flat out LS dedicated camshaft designer makes the world's best camshaft profiles for LS engines. I would love to see you test a few of his camshafts and compare them to the dyno mules you have tested before. "Vinci Hi Performance" Thank You Richard

Mr Holdner,
These are great videos, good real world info. Something I wanted to bring to your attention is the 615-183 Ls truck intake offered online. This manifold seems to be a doorman copy of the fast lsxrt and the no name Chinese companies have copied the doorman copy. In short I bought a brand new intake for $65 that I think your viewers would love to see tested. The generic pn is 615-183

I built a LM7 to take the place of my LS1 in my 99 Trans am WS6 216/220 .560 114 lsa LR4 flat top pistons gave me 10.20:1 compression and home ported 862 heads just need a good Dyno tune to take advantage of my setup.

You should compare the radical ported tbss intake vs the fast see how the curve and power difference looks.

Stock lm7 intake & 706 heads are fine . Spend your money on cam kit springs then go forced induction no need for the other stuff

Those are impressive numbers for just a cam swap. Crazy.

Watched a video on the old style smallblock 327 and with a good set of heads and a solid roller cam and a single plane intake peak power numbers were very similar l was impressed with the power the old 327 made with the upgrades

The TBSS intake manifold even though it is 10+ years old is one of the best intake manifolds ever made!

The power these 5.3 make with just cam and headers is unbelievable.

Funny I randomly came across your video, I was looking at doing my cam and getting SS intake, springs and lifters also timing chain. I have a 04 Avalanche.

Nice, but you've forgot to mention that this aftermarket intake was loosing power all the way up to about 4500 RPM :)

i have this same setup except 1 7/8 long tubes and factory truck intake, mine loves 32 degrees of timing. could you tell me how much you ran?

I wonder what these numbers would look like with an l33? I would think with the extra head flow and extra compression that it would be closer to 475 with the tbss and close to 500 with the lsxrt???

I was told my 5.3 could handle a 6.0 vortec heads with the same cam you mentioned in the video. Thanks

I am thinking of putting that cam in my 5.3 Suburban may put a turbo on it later if I get bored

So save your money and keep the SS manifold if you plan on keeping stock heads. More performance over the usable curve. Especially if towing
