Arrested Development star David Cross (Tobias Fünke) talks to Geoff Lloyd about how he was originally asked to try out for Gob and Buster, and the battle that he had over Tobias's famous moustache...

David has a new film called 'HITS' which is his directorial debut, and is playing at the Sundance London Film Festival.

Glad to see Tobias finally achieved his dream of becoming an actor.

He's too humble. Tobias is the character I have the most trouble possibly envisioning being pulled off by anyone else. It's one of those totally unique synergies of the perfect actor for a given role.

I'm glad he knew that part wasn't for him. The show was well casted and I feel like every person was perfect for their part, not many shows you can say that about, and I'm glad he fought for his character. It showed he really cared, and knowing it's David cross, it's not really a surprise.

David Cross rules.  Some comics come off as fake and then there are ones like David who you know wouldn't sell out or put you down unless you really deserved it.
