EU4 Ming has a tendency to collapse - also known as a Mingsplosion. Today, we look at another EU4 historical disaster as we see if we can survive as the Ming. I have to say that this is the hardest EU4 challenge I've had to do, with mixed results. We have to endure Bankruptcy, great powers, the mandate of heaven and more! Could you do better?

You attacking Burma is historically accurate to what the Southern Ming actually tried to do.

Historical Fact: The Polish missionary Michał Boym and others converted the heir of the last Ming Emperor to Christianity. The Prince took the name of Constantine.

You need to wait 5 years after your buildings finish if you want to do a bankruptcy build. All buildings constructed less than 5 years before bankruptcy will be deleted.

See, I need to see you somehow destroy the Qing dynasty. So I'll need more of this series. Sorry not sorry.

You were right, different start dates are fun ! I actually tried a true non-1444 (1492) game and managed restore the Idrissid Dynasty in Morocco and even defeated the Portuguese to unify the country (except Ifni) first try.

YASSS, 反清復明!
I have never been so pleasantly surprised, you should do a follow-up video where you liberate China from the Manchus and fully restore the glory of the Ming.

my man could've curried favors with qing to get back his cores but no... he had to torture himself by forgetting about game mechanics.

I feel it could be more interesting to have done this with a slightly less painful scenario, can't remember dates off the top of my head - but one where you start without the mandate but without having lost that much land if possible. Because that one is just too brutal, an intermediary step could be more interesting because I'm pretty sure Qing would still be much more powerful but you just have more options for doing things.

You should try and survive the seven years war as Prussia

yeah the bankruptcy building was nerfed, but not removed completely. it now destroys all buildings completed within the last 5 years, so you can still technically plan to bankruptcy build, you just need to complete buildings at least 5 years in advance of Declaring bankruptcy

Bankruptcy building still works, Laith! you just have to wait 5 years after construction finishes, before declaring bankruptcy.
