I’m a street photographer based in Bergen County, NJ and had my notably older X100S in Hudson Yards and Chinatown yesterday and got some good shots with that camera and my Sony RX1.

Great video. Till the end of February when the xt4 is announced, I'm sure I'll have sleepless nights with excitement. The A6000 is still a very good basic camera for someone that's not bothered about all the other stuff. I use mine all the time but I'm sure it'll be retired when the xt4 comes to retail.

Hi Hugh, Thanks for the first look. I'm glad finally got your hands on one of these wonderful series of cameras. I'm sure the X100V will be very popular, but let us not forget the X100F was also *very* popular, and cameras were backordered from all the major retailers for some months when it debuted in early 2017. At Samy's in SF, CA, where I bought mine, cameras would come in in the morning be sold out by the afternoon of the same day. I'm glad you're finally experiencing what many of us have been enjoying and doing meaningful work with for some years now. Its been 5 years since I bought my first X100, the T model in Jan. 2015. And, personally I have no need or plans to upgrade from the X100F. Welcome a more in-depth review from you of either model. Cheers, Stephen

Excellent upgrade. I get similar results w/ the XT-3 and 23mm f/2 prime. The design and compactness of the X100V are superior but I can’t justify the price for a new camera which is duplicative.
