"I don't feel like I need to explain myself" - that is just brilliant.

This is timely now for all those parents stuck with online learning with their children. Mine is 23 so the best I can do is remember all of those homework times when I wish I'd remembered - Oh there's booze in the liquor cabinet!

For projects that are due the next day and your child has yet to start, I suggest a Piña Colada intravenous line

21-year-old college student, here. Will these wines work equally as well for the people doing the homework?

I'll have to refer back to all of these pairings while I'm homeschooling!!

This is PERFECT. I teach Middle School English, but I spare my kids' parents from the pronouns, and worse yet -- the gerunds, infinitives, participles, and subordinate clauses, etc... Instead, I send home the assignments that won't lead to throwing books, running out of wine, or the need for vodka! My homework assignments are spread over multiple days and include the following sorts of lessons: reading short stories, poems, and novels; practicing spelling words; learning a list of vocabulary words (defined in class using our school-provided laptops); memorizing grammar charts (helping verbs, prepositions, pronouns); and studying pre-checked grammar workbook lessons 2-3 evenings prior to a test (all grammar completed in class w/ my hovering! Planning for writing prompts, rough draft/revision work, and "final copy" writing assignments are completed in class w/ me, along w/ all grammar drills. I hope my students' parents are enjoying a cup of spiked cocoa or cider as they sit back and dictate this week's spelling list for which I have provided 25 words to practice spelling as a 4-night HW lesson. It shouldn't take more than 5-10 minutes each night; I already worked those kids really hard for 45 minutes in class today! AND they have 4 other teachers providing additional HW. What about time for piano lessons, ball practice, and family time? I like to plan for that, too. Oh, if they lose the spelling word list, they can call a friend or download it from my classroom portal page. They don't call or email me for information -- I have coached them on other options for taking care of lost or forgotten items. I also won't give credit for work brought to school by a parent during the school day; late work will receive a higher reduced/late credit grade the following morning. Students are not to interrupt their parents' day to bring any items needed for my class. LOL> How about a toast for raising children who will be adults! Keep up the great videos, Holderness Family!

"And for Science Projects, we go to straight vodka, I don't feel I have to explain myself" Soo true, lol.

Hehehe I can't stop giggling. I understand Lola's frustration and homework leading you to drink.
