Okay I thank you very much for you know the input. Yeah I have you know that $150 ice bear Challenger and I'm already doing 65 if not 70 on just what I'm running you know stock 1:50 I had a pwk on it I was trying to put on it but I think I need to order some jets for it because it wasn't you know tuning correctly so I took it off and I put you know the stock carburetor back on and that's what I'm getting out of it now is about 65 you know if not 70 miles an hour it's fast. I do want to try to put a 842 belt on but the boss is not long enough so got to get shims

I've been trying to fine tune a keihin pwk 28 on a 171 for now for WEEKS. I'm using a wideband AFR and my target is 13:1 from 3/4 to wot. My issue is any way I jet it or what clip position I use there's always either a bog when I punch it from idle to wot OR a "flat" spot above cruise position. Watching the AFR gauge going down the road is lulz af 🤣. And it seems to fluctuate a little so I'm reading a baseline average. Something I just learned is it can actually draw air in through the fitting the cable goes through on the top and using thread sealant helps a little. But the biggest challenge I'm messing with is experimenting with different needle taper profiles to try to iron out that transition overlap between circuits. I've figured out jetting the pilot a little rich helps with the off idle bog if I use a jjj needle. Completely understanding how these carbs work and all the needle profile changes, and how settings can effect the AFR at a DIFFERENT throttle position makes me wish I had conserved a few more of those brain cells I burned off in my 20's. 😂😂

Typically your carb should be 80% the size of your valve

What are your thoughs or opinion on putting a slide carb on a 90cc Chuckus? It was suggested that I install a 22mm Nibbi carb on my Gen IV maddag.

Great that means I can use my pro-build slide 28mm carb when I swap to stock 150cc motor…

I have a clone 28 mm pwk and I’m having a weird bog at full or near full throttle I got the 38 pilot and 120 main jet in right now As I’m driving it’s like I can creep up on the threshold of the bog and when it happens I have to blip the throttle to keep the engine going but it forces me to lose some speed any insight would be appreciated thank you

Did you have to use a different twist throttle assembly or were you able to make the stock one work with pwk cable ? Thanks

@GhettoWrench
Im trying to find the top oiece for the carburetor that causes the cable to be ar an angle. I found a metal 90 that is treaded but it is just a tube, not a cap to fit on the carburetor. I don't know what that angled top cap is called. I am not finding it probably because i dont know the name of it. Rolling wrench doesn't seem to have it anymore.

So talks down on the carb as an upgrade 1:09, then ends video without admitting it improves performance on stock chuckus... so did it increase performance? 4:40

U have a link to the fuel pump u have?

Purchased this carb when I first bought my bike and just started putting it on my icebear tonight. Im not getting any fuel. I have the port attached directly to the manifold connected to my vacuum for my fuel pump. and the fuel is in the correct place as well. Im a little stumped atm

did you keep your crank case vents connected and venting back towards the rear wheel? and the fuel tank vent open as well? I plan on doing more trouble shooting tomorrow.

Did it require a new intake manifold? Can you provide link?

Same question applies to throttle cable (I have Gen4 150cc maddog)

Dude, What are you using to record your times, is it an app ? or a tool linked through an app ?

Did you end up sticking with the 115 and 35 jets for that build?
