Y'know, thinking on the story, his dumb thought process makes sense. They're teenagers: all about status and looking good. She doesn't tick his specific boxes at first. She's taller than him (and most men in Japan, if my friend is to be believed) has features he doesn't like on the surface, etc. But she confessed her attraction: a high school boy's dream and weakness. So he figured "eh, why not, " and gave it a shot. That's the charm of the story. He's a stupid high schooler obsessed with looks and status, superficial things that are inconsequential and/or change. He was able to see her goofy side, the side that would matter, and decided to pull a very teenage "I'm marrying her, " out of it. It's cute character growth in a fun little short story. It's almost like a coming-of-age. We totally see him mature in a matter of seconds. Well done, whoever made this!

My opinion on the characters:
The guy: What a prick
The girl: Sweet as sugar
Kyoro-chan: That's pretty funny

This really opened my eyes about beauty standards in the anime multiverse. If you think you're ugly by human standards, then you clearly haven't lived in a world where everyone is made in the same artstyle, and people worry about being called ugly when they don't match it. "Ew! She's got dead fish eyes with no colour or sparkle!" Unless the artist makes an effort to draw you ugly you fall comfortably into average beauty with everyone else who isn't a main character.

The male lead is real relatable and his thoughts were funny af, the girl was indeed adorable and most importantly she wasnt fiddling with her phone. I also like how this turned out to be something so wholesome.
