True story: I'm playing with a band in a 'shotgun shack'. It's about 30 ft by 90 ft with an 8 ft suspended ceiling. I'm using a 50 watt 1968 Bassman head with a 1969 2-15" Bassman cab. I set up the amp at a 45 degree angle about 6 inches from where the walls meet. I asked the bartender later if drinks were moving around. He grinned and said, "Oh, yeah".
Cab placement is everything. The bass player in the warmup band before us had his 350 watt 4-10" rig set up 5 feet in front of mine facing straight toward the opposite end. You couldn't tell one note from another. Always "read the room". Love SVT's, but my aging back doesn't!

I really wanted to hear that loud bass over my 2.5 inch computer speakers. Same goes for manufacturers advertising the clarity of their new state-of-the-art 57" LED flat screen as I am saying "wow, that is a clean picture" while viewing the commercial on my 17" VGA monitor.

Best bass amp day of my life was through my SVT-CL with two 8x10 cabs @ 2ohms in a loud enough band in a big enough room to warrant such a rig. Eventually it is just more whip cream.

From one bassist to another if the volume would have been cranked and the circuits untripped, you would have shattered some of those car windows, 7000watts of 10" probably an earthquake waiting to happen, most I ever ran at one time was 2 8x10 cabs with two mesa m pulse watt heads and a boss pedal with a K-5 bass tuned to Bflat minor a half octave down from what otep plays, and the bass was plenty, even the 4x10 cabs I had in the past I used to hook cd players up to them and they are wall breakers great horns, packs some serious punch. I blew everything I used to buy, Hartke, Galien Kruger, and yes I also blew a fender cabinet, and an SVT cab, til I met ampeg cabs, I did everything I possibly could to blow the speakers, they are without a doubt unstoppable 😀, expensive but definitely worth the money and investment for whatever style of music you play especially the metal industry, ask anyone, Fields from korn, Sam rivers from limp bizkit, Ryan martinie from mudvayne, Rex brown from pantera, they all say the same thing, they would never buy anything else, Ampeg is the true champion of bass cabinets all the way, THE BEST👍
