Clive Barker has said he is embarrassed about hellraiser(I). Seeing him tell the story the way HE wants to, would be great. He compromised a lot during the first movie.

BUT! If anyone could pen & direct a proper remake, it would be Clive.
With as much distain as I have for "reboots", I'm extremely interested in what Clive has up his sleeve.  He sounds more interested and excited about the movie he wants to make after the Hellraiser remake that ends Pinhead and ushers in a new era for the whole narrative.

The whole remake/franchise bullshit has more or less ruined moviemaking. All this jockeying for followups is a pain in the ass. It's like watching people play billiards. Not very thrilling. It's so calculating and contrived there's no zip in films any more. Overproduced. Over-concepted. Over-done. And the government propaganda angle is disgusting. It's like "Hey, let's brainwash the peasants some more with another War movie.. or a zombie movie.. or a war-zombie movie.. or.."
