I feel so bad for the older guy who now looks like the smiling dream guy. It makes me genuinely scared looking at his face I can only imagine how his family and himself feel it’s really upsetting

I feel so bad for his patients. He makes them look uncanny, like skin walkers.

The fact that this man has made real people look uncanny valley is terrifying on its own

Personally, I think aging is beautiful. People complain about smile lines, and crows feet.. but in my eyes those smile lines means you lived happily. You expressed yourself in so many ways!

Just a Chinese language note: him calling patients "brother" or "sister" is probably a direct translation from Chinese where referring to unrelated people as "brother" or "sister" is a way to show respect/endearment. It's not some manipulation tactic to make people "trust him", it's just a linguistic difference.

“you look ai generated” is gonna be the next future insult

Some of those after pictures of his patients are actually terrifying. Some uncanny valley type stuff. It’s so sad that many people can’t cope with their aging and would rather look like Sophia the robot.

14:52 For the leg procedure, I watched an official documentary (arte) about it. The documentary was talking about plastic surgery in China and precisely those leg procedures. Doctors cut the muscles in the leg (calf, don't remember the exact muscle), few weeks after those muscles gonna "shrink" and become really thin, they are at high risk of losing the functionalities of their legs. There are many cases, where young Chinese girls were not aware of that (the surgeons didn't list the risk), now most of them can barely walk like before, and many complications like constant pain and others. It's really sad, people have healthy bodies but beauty trends mess up body and mind.

I'm Asian, when I was in middle school I wanted to have plastic surgery to become pretty like people in the media. Now I accepted who I am and I'm also grateful to be healthy. You know it's better to lose a little bit of weight or gain muscles. Also, basic skin/hair care helps a lot. Choose also the right clothes, no need to buy a ton of them. Just choose wisely a piece of clothing that suits your body and can be matched with another type of clothes.

I hope some young people gonna read my comment. I want to add that beauty perception is messed up with social media (filter, heavy makeup, light, angle). You know when you get to know someone, the first impression is not gonna be "Wow he/she is so handsome/pretty)" especially when he/she is average. But the more you know the person and spend time with them, the more beauty and charm gonna grow. You'll see others and yourself so beautifully and uniquely. Some unique features make the character very strong like you'll never forget them.

I hope you understand, learn yourself a bit more, and spend time with people. You're gonna see everything in a better view.

I really feel bad for those people. From going to human to looking kinda humanlike

this reminds me of when Stephanie Soo talked about 'ghost doctors' in Korea where a plastic surgery clinic would have a main doctor/ celebrity doctor on social media that is essentially the face of the clinic that you can book an interview with. these interviews are usually expensive because youre meeting with the celebrity plastic surgeon. the celebrity surgeon then takes you to the operating room and as soon as youre under anaesthesia a different (usually amateur) doctor walks in and does the surgery. then you wake up, none the wiser. she explained it better than i did but im just wondering if 'ghost doctors' are a thing in China and if this is a case of that..

Imagine your parent gets home with a new face and everyone including them have to deal with it for the rest of your lives..

You are very kind human. Everyone is commenting these poor people, they're all over the internet and it's very heartbreaking and here you are shifting the focus to the real problem, these "surgeons".

Imagine getting turned into something straight from the mandela catalogue

Imagine flying to a new country, getting your face permanently altered, and then not being able to return home because your face no longer matches your passport or any other form of photo I.D.

Dr. Kim isn't a surgeon, he's a butcher. His victims remind me of what The Joker did to people in Gotham or that one Korean drama/horror movie that had people getting facial surgery when they came of age but the lead character wasn't encouraged to do it so she went to an underground surgeon and it turned out horribly. My heart goes out to every single one of his victims. And this is why my doctors tell me more to avoid any physician who is on social media, especially TikTok.

This is called investigation journalism and it's lacking these days. Good job my friend. Fantastic work

There is an alternate universe where Tuv flew out and got a plastic surgery from Dr. Kim.

I’ve worked in facial plastics for years. Clients look very swollen and like they’ve gone through a wind tunnel after surgery. It takes awhile for the face to “relax”. I’d love to see the incision lines and what they look like 4-6 weeks later.

The man in the beginning looked so friendly and sweet. How are people allowed to do this to others I’ll never understand. Moreover, who the hell told them they needed the surgery😕

just a small note, but they aren’t using terms like “brother” and “sister” to bait people into trusting them, lol, they’re just terms used to address people in both china and korea (alongside many other countries), even if they aren’t your actual siblings. thought i’d put that out there.
