How to select your meaningful experiences for ERAS

Top 3 experiences may:

✅ show an element of professional or career growth, explains your rationale for pursuing it, especially in regards to the direction you see your future in medicine and/or lessons learned/skills or exposure obtained

✅ be a unique experience that communicates who you are and highlights what’s important to you in light of the specialty you’re interested in

✅ could be an extracurricular or hobby or profess organization that has created impact you could not otherwise achieve alone, could highlight your character development as a result of participating in this activity

✅ work in service of people/groups/ populations but pivoting on how that service was transformative for you

✅✅ remember your meaningful experience is subjective to you and could be as traditional as a clinical experience to unconventional as an art form/sport or extracurricular activity

I know you have the urge to want to write only what you THINK programs will consider “good enough” ..
