Amateur Diver Finds Ancient Artifacts #shorts

While exploring the waters off Israel’s Carmel coast in 2021, an amateur scuba diver named Shlomi Katzin discovered a collection of ancient artifacts including anchors, pottery fragments, and a 900-year-old sword that may have belonged to a Crusader knight.

Archaeologists with the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) described the nearly 3-foot-long (1 meter) iron blade as a “beautiful and rare find.” It was used sometime during the Crusader period, which lasted from 1095 to 1291. The anchors that Katzin discovered date back 4,000 years to the Late Bronze Age.
