I prefer this method to the one where you sew then trim one side and fold over. This gives me a better result and takes less time. TFS

Thanks for the tip for using triple stitch instead of topstitch thread! 👍🏻You can't slways get the right colour of topstitch thread.

I like this best as I don't have to trim one side as shown in other videos. But how do you do the inner leg of pants ?

Thank you very much for such a comprehensive tutorial. I would like your advice. I am sewing a denim top with shoulder princess seam, which is not as curved as the armhole princess seam. Could I use the method you showed ? Could I use the normal needle of my home sewing machine or should I go for a double needle?

Just wondered what seam allowance this ends up with? Half inch? Also will this work on curved seams?

Hi sweets lovely sewing. However how the heck do I sew my jeans which do not have a double stitch on the outside leg without taking them apart? I cannot stitch them inside out? Or can I, cause if I put my jeans through the sewing machine the Only Only way I can do that double folded over stitch on the outside line is with rather your way, as in unpicking the outside plain seam, then doing what you did, but curling, I say curling the open seam on the the jeans outside edge, and then just doing what you do so well ? Cause I have to be using those jeans! I need the out side edge folding overthen doing what you do beforehand I need to do a tack stitch, iron the stitch over on the outside edge coz everybody knows jeans trousers the front panel's leg of the said jeans are always always, I said always!😂 Less width in comparison with the back leg panel. So it's like. OK do sew. No. Should I open that outside seam of the jeans beforehand or can I maybe get away being stretch bootcut jeans goodsome denim to be in alignment I am going to fold them..wrong coz you want that outside leg foibles stitched so it flows correctly down the outside leg! Sorry sweets, But it is stupid that jeans in the 70s had that outside leg double stitching! I love that stitching it makes them look so much more like proper jeans. Boot cut jeans really suit those double stitching on the outside. I need a cup of tea. True though. They look cutesome with both Indian jeans had them. I invented my disco jeans by just doing a pair of jeans which had baggy midfles but tightish ankle area. I had no money so I cut them do they could be used to fit another tight fitting jeans so that the bottom seam could be pulled up do upside down and turned around so the in seam ehichwas double seamed switched to the outside. Then I had the old invisible hand stitched job 3 inches above both my knees attached to the top pair if cut off tight stretch jeans. Either the fraying of the bottoms I was Diana Toss! Haxxxx❤❤❤
