The hall of Mirrors

I am part of the Warframe Creator program, which provides me with most of the new things released with every update. With this I can focus more on content creation, and less on farmin. For this I'd like to thank the development team at DE, community managers and the whole community, which made this possible. Thank you! :)

Fun fact, with a bit of work, you can decode the keyboard. The board in the office is also the same one in the Netracell. I decoded a few back when the language was first getting worked out. The two that I had mostly decoded were a coffee menu and a list of train arrival times. Glad to see it is in Whispers. Should be a lot easier to translate the whole thing. The only bit of lore I found was a few street/location names (Greenmarket, Bridgefield, and two more I had trouble with), and the implication that, if not on Earth, we are in a location where modern Earth countries are still referenced (Coffee Americano on the menu).

The idea that the location where Warframe 1999 is happening and that it is not on Earth was more of a joke, but... It would be cool if it actually would be on a different planet. It defenitely isn't though.

5:05 I believe it actually says "He is coughing"

Edit: I think it might be related to the fact that Entrati presumably came back in time with a "cure" for the plague in the form of turning people into Proto-frames and the grafitti could refer to either:
a) Albrecht coughing - if he has a "cure" why is he himself sick
b) Arthur coughing - if he is "cured" why is he still coughing

‘The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog’ is actually a relatively famous sentence due to its use of every letter in the (modern) english alphabet. It’s got a minor history in video games as a rudimentary cipher for in-universe scripts that gloss to english - for example the game FEZ stuck a sign with the sentence written in the game’s script, into a scene where a quick brown fox does indeed jump over a lazy dog. I suspect it’s doing the exact same thing in Warframe for people who don’t have prior knowledge of the Orokin script.

The 1999 "Dark Score" posters are a reference to an older game by DE called Dark Sector, which is the spiritual predecessor to Warframe. Some of the posters feature things from the released 2008 Dark Sector game, and others feature content from a 2005 Dark Sector/Warframe concept trailer and demo (Most notably DS's main antagonist Robert Mezner, and a 2004 Grineer soldier)

Originally, Warframe and Dark Sector were one and the same under the name Dark Sector, but publishers at the time did NOT want sci-fi games for reasons beyond me.

Edit: 4:19 Lol, didn't realize you already knew about it.

Why does your warframe look like its about to scream "I WILL CUT YOU DOWN HERE AND NOW!" To a vampiric nikon

Idk if they fixed it, but you can go out of bounds on the Necralisk and go to 1999 area over there. (Including the section where you're not supposed to go!) And there's some more graffiti there

My crack theory: 1999 is not on Earth but on Phobos

(Phobos is boring compared to its cousin Deimos which have an open world AND TWO player hubs)
