What a fella, he actually criticised MTV in the 80s during an interview for not playing more music by black artists, the interview is on YouTube if you looked it up.

True story: David Bowie was once spotted at a drum and bass rave sitting in the corner bare feet next to the speaker just listening to the music.

"The white generation are part of the administration. The ones who brought Rock n Roll to us in its white form." This man was a GREAT talent and an activist without any fanfare or grandiose gestures. An ACTUAL genuine human being. What a loss. RIP Bowie.

Bowie was legit. While working on the last album he made before his death (Black Star) he said he had been listening to To Pimp a Butterfly a lot and that Kendrick Lamar's music helped influence Black Star.

I had the privilege of meeting Bowie and holding his hand while I spoke to him. I worked on his exhibition at the V&A in London in 2013.

People frequently underestimated his remarkable intelligence and capacity to observe well. He was tremendously gifted and not just musically. ❤

David bowie has brought more positivity, joy, happiness, comfort, all while challenging everyone to reach high, think bigger, learn more, and be yourself. He has done more good for the world than anyone with real positions of power vould ever hope.

I have always had so much respect for Bowie musically and as a human being. He was very straightforward about a lot of stuff. They don't make humans like that too much anymore

This legendary artiste breathed fresh air into nearly every discussion he was a part of. Sometimes hard to believe Ziggy is no longer with us on earth, even his hair seemed eternal.

As a fan of metal and Rock, it is undeniable to acknowledge that three of the pioneers of rock and roll- blues are some of the greatest legends African American artists in human history: Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix, Sister Rosetta. Such legends.
