Synopsis:
We discuss a possible way of playing the Black side of Larsen's Opening. We follow GM Eugene Perelshteyn's recommendation of playing for a strong center with pawns on e5 and d5. We investigate the position arising after 1.b3 e5 2.Bb2 Nc6 3.e3 d5 4.Bb5 Bd6, considering three continuations: 5.Nf3, 5.c4, and the main line 5.f4. We follow a bit of a game between Ruifeng Li and Alex Lenderman in the main line.
