Abandoned Project Cars Found in a Junkyard

It's not every day we get to see 60's, 70's and even 80's muscle cars. However this junkyard had many abandoned project cars. My favorite project car in this junkyard was the yellow Subaru Impreza WRX. The 2G Mitsubishi Eclipse was a close second. Which junkyard car would you restore? Its always sad to see these cars in such a helpless state, my only hope is thee remaining parts get put to good use someday..

Felt good to explore a yard again, which car was your favorite?

Every time Mike does a junkyard vid and is intrigued by the 60s classics, I always imagine it would be fun to see him build one up with some jdm flair and use it as the “shop truck”/ towing rig.

The car with the fiberglass fenders and wooden dash, was/ is a kit car for a vw chassis. that was the trans in the rear👍

That eclipse is the 1.8l version. On the 1g eclipse If it had 4g63 2.0l the timing belt cover was to high. That is why they added that bump in the hood to clear the timing belt. At least that was the reason for 1g as some 1.8l had the flat hood. On the 2g if I remember correctly the bump was not needed but they added it anyway because it became so iconic. Man you should get on of these especially the 1ga (because popup headlights). They are so fun to drive and they have huge aftermarket support. But good luck finding a clean one.

The car at 7:00 is a Morris Minor. My mum has one that she takes to classic car meets weekly! Didn't know they made it to the US so that's pretty cool

So sad seeing a sonic yellow bugeye wrx in that junkyard. Definitely the most rare wrx color we got here in the states. The slicktops were actually the common option while the sunroofs were rare. Everything else about it is shared with a normal 02-03 wrx

Always so happy to see junkyard videos. There’s always too much to comment about and I don’t want to spam or write out a whole ass essay on why junkyards have some of the best content so I will instead just say thank you. I don’t have any real junkyards with a rich history anywhere near where I live.

In England the scrapyards normally stack the cars on top of eachother, before now I’ve climbed 4 cars up to grab the parts I need. Hearing your concern about this has made me doubt my previous decisions to climb in the rain 😅😂

I glanced a comments to see if anyone already said, but the 2 cars with rear motors and opposing plane pulleys were Chevrolet Corvair's. The Corvair was their first attempt at a rear engine car, long before the C8 Corvette.

Junkyard adventures are back baby!! It’s always appreciated to see interesting stuff in the junkyards. Today’s standards had made it impossible for cars to have interesting body lines; everything looks like a round brick, soulless, and has boring colors. I hope that with the increasing popularity of retro futurism people start appreciating this older car designs. #BringThePopUpsBack

If you think that the TR7 looks small inside check out an Opel GT from the 70’s.

The badge on the cabover truck at 8:16 is an International Harvester badge. IH is the old ollld make, these days they're mostly known as just International for their class 6-8 trucks.

As a bugeye owner it’s sad to see one in the junkyard. They are pretty rare to see one in my area and even rarer to find one bone stock with a full stock interior.
