I like the third one best - its layout doesn't feel overwhelming to see. But all were nicely done. And I think your title works well too, Rick.

Yay, I'm famous! Thank you for demonstrating the answer to my question.

Your cover looks great! And the title is perfect.

I vote for the third infographic too, but agree with the other commenters - the colour is a bit garish, and two facing pages might be best for that much information. The title is bland too, but other than the bit of tweaking that it needs, I think it's the most suitable for your vision.

I look forward to more updates as your book progresses. 👀📚

Love the book cover. I myself have a fondness for the Hexagon grid. The meeting of the hexagon lines with the brush stroke / grunge edges was a very nice touch.

Fantastic idea to make a book, Rick! Your tutorials have played a huge role in my inkscape abilities! Love the cover - and even more so that you were willing to show us all how you created it, and weaved some tips in there too!! Bummed the spray paint trees and graffiti didn't make it though lol. Congrats on the Fiverr sponsorship! So well deserved.

I like the 3rd one best but agree the typeface could be improved - and perhaps change up the color a bit too! If there's any way I can be helpful with editing when you get to that phase, I'd love to lend a hand!

Holy Cow! I was just talking to my husband about how a book of exercises to help learn the aspects of Inkscape would be awesome; and here it is! It's great to have tutorials online, but it would be more advantageous (for me at least) to have a structured workbook of sorts to show some of the techniques used in Inkscape to be put to practical use. Not just "here's how to make this logo" or something like that. Something that people can refer to when they have an idea of their own or like me, wanting to work towards becoming a better artist and venturing out into being a freelancer.

I like the last infographic layout, but not the font or colour. Orange is a bit hard on the eyes. I'd go with a softer blue header and stick with more grey tones on the instructions. Also, I'd use the word "action" instead of "objective."

Just a quick heads up: I've noticed that users who use Linux such as myself sometimes have different keyboard shortcuts. i.e. using Alt+left mouse for lasso does not work for me (that minimises the window.) I use Ctl+Alt+left mouse to activate the lasso. So it might be worth noting to save people frustration.

Looking forward to the finished product! As always, keep up the awesome work!

Hey Rick, Thanks for the video. I prefer the third one best Babar Mumtaz, layout is nicley condensed on one page for easy reference, and a perfect title too.

👍 Babar Mumtaz.
Thank you for this tutorial. I like reading, and I have a lot of books. If I want to change the covers of my books, I'll make my own project.🙏

Hey Rick, great vid, thanks. I like #3. Book title works. When is the book due? I want one! 😜"Please!" and I'll pay for it, too.

Hey Rick, just a quick note to say thank you again. This might sound odd, but I’m a quilter and that’s how I first got onto Inskape, mainly to transfer shapes into a cutting machine. For the new year, I decided to try a new pattern with hexagons. I couldn’t work out how to stagger them so as not to waste fabric. Anyway, I suddenly remembered watching your cover tutorial and thought Ha! So thanks again, that saved me tons of time trying to work it out! Happy new year by the way! Is your book finished yet?

Voting for #3, but in a different colourway, please
Looking forward to your book. Will it be a printed version? Then spiralbound would be nice, because they lay flat when opened.
Or is it going to be an eBook? Would save the shipping to Germany (cost and pollution)
Title is perfect.

Hi Rick, Glad to have found you. I will work through your tutorials in coming days.
I am seeing conflicting information that using ICC profiles you can output in CMYK. Is this there a way to do it. Of course I subscribed

Thanks again for your tutorials. I would definitely prefer a .pdf instead of printed book due to physical limitations. Stay inspired!

All three designs were good, but I liked #3 (Barbar) the best. As said by others, "I want to buy this book" when it is published. Please announce when/where/how much ASAP! Thanks

I was just thinking about you and up popped this video! I have a question, if you don’t mind.

I traced a simple black and white logo. I ended up with 100s of separate line segments that are not connected at the end points. Was there a setting that will reduce these separation?

Now on to your video 😀
