I have to say that after only one hour of playing with the Inkscape software and watching this YouTube tutorial, I was blown away with how many features and how much I can do with this freeware. I have it running in Linux Ubuntu and I would rate Inkscape a 10 out of 10!

Thank you for this. I've not used Inkscape in years, and needed a refresher for the new interface.

There's a very slight voice over error at 11:06, the voice says "Go to object" but the cursor is shown going to the "Layer" menu. I don't imagine it's a big enough problem to be worth reuploading for though as it's clear what's meant.

If that is your voice, I'd just like to tell you, it immediately - like one second in - reminded me of the intro to "Little Acorns" from the White Stripes. It's not the same accent but the same tone and melody. The song is one of my favourites, so I couldn't help smiling. Anyway, thanks for the tutorial :)

So much more intuitive and user friendly than Illustrator. Adobe need to sort their fundamentals out if they expect people to keep paying through the nose for their software.
Between Gimp, DaVinci Resolve, Blender and Inkscape, and now Stable Diffusion all that's left in the Adobe arsenal that really stands proud is After Effects and that's only because of the third party plug-ins. Sure they've got the features, but 99% of the time they're not worth the headaches.
