It's also used a lot for 3d art and movies actually, mostly to scan smaller objects to be assets but also some bigger stuff as well. Amazing tool for people in the vfx industry

Well technically, Apple was already using it for autofocus to make it so much faster and convenient... But yea ig it kinda wasn't used to its full potential

As someone who’s deep in AR and graphics and motion who’s a fulltime real estate I’ve been working on a few projects using LiDAR and its helps well when it comes to showings however legally we’re not allowed to use it for anything else as if we were to use it as evidence it would be deemed “invalid”
