No Man's Sky surprised me the most, not because it failed, that was obvious, but because they actually fixed it...

Crash Team Racing was a surprising entry. A game studio actually wanted their game to fail, only to get the opposite effect. You hardly see ironic twists like this nowadays.

I'm a pretty big Fallout fan, but you're right about Fallout 76. I agree.

I gotta say, the inclusion of _Crash Team Racing_ really threw me for a loop.

When one hears about video games being set up to fail, one usually thinks of publishers not allowing said games enough development time and/or resources, thereby ensuring that they would fail. Not developers intentionally setting up their games to fail, only for those games to succeed anyway.

"Mass Effect Andromeda" should have gotten an honorable mention, along with "Batman: Arkham Knight" for PC

Honorable Mention:
Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric
The trailer and the redesigns shown pretty much made it dead on arrival.

I never dealt with Ac Unity bugs and it still remains a very good AC game especially the parkour system is truly one of a kind

How did Battlefront 2 EA not make the list? It had a crappy launch. Everyone hated it.

The one on this list that surprised me the least is Marvel's Avengers because I have heard how much hate it has gotten since launch

AC unity was flawless from day 1 for me :"D i preordered it and still love it to this day, the only thing i wish they would do is unlock the cloth physics for 60fps or higher since it doesn't look as nice on console or pc these days

Biomutant should have been on the list. That game had so much potential!

Seeing Spyro Enter the Dragonfly takes me back, maybe if they remastered the GameCube games I'd play it again!
