I will say, if you are in a solo project, this technique is excellent for producing some insanely clean stuff. I have used lots of these techniques myself using Ableton as well.
However, I always highly encourage players and aspiring musicians to Practice and strive to perform the whole song in 1 take. Striving for excellence is something we need a lot more of, although this method is very handy if you are on a time crunch

I don't remember how I found out about your channel, but I'm glad I did, because it's a goldmine LOL. A lot of useful info for modern metal. THANK YOU

Tnx for reminding how hard it is to do properly. Sometimes I think I am just bad when I have recorded something.

The organic, non robotic way of editing reminds me of Structures Encounter EP.

BTW, you would practice the song in one take for two reasons. One is to improve some separate parts of your technique and other is to train your skill of performing your song and speed and efficiency of learning songs.

Such a helpful video man! As a Logic Pro user, the workflow is slightly different but the concept is the same pretty much.

Any reason in particular why you choose Ableton over Logic, Pro Tools or Cubase?

Nice video. I do not understand the last sentence for the riff : "make sure that the guitars start slightly after the beat and then you have the pick attack going slightly before the grid". How is that possible ? Is the beat soon before the grid ?
