I moved away from home when I was 17, it was after my parents both had passed away so I felt like staying or leaving I would be missing them anyway. It was very hard in a brand new city knowing no one though! I had also left to go to my dream school. Being alone, knowing no body & not having financial support took a toll on me, there were days I couldn't even afford basic things like food. However - it does get better! There is always hope, and even though I am still friendless lol I get to do what I love & be involved in the industry I love. And hopefully make my parents proud.

Ok moving to the other side of the country is bad but try to move to the other side of the world! When I was only 17 I moved to L.A and I was there alone (well one of my old friend lives there) and it was so scary luckily I was only there for 7 months and then moved back to Australia... It was still scary tho!

I moved away from home when I was 16, to be able to do what I love :) The first days where really hard because I didn't know anyone, everything was new and scary but after 5 months I'm so happy with my decision. I got to know awesome people and I really have a lot of fun with what I'm doing :)

at 19 years old i moved all the way acros the world to study and live on my own.. and it was scary but fun at the same time :)

I don't get it.. Is american college a sort of university? College in the UK is aged 16+ so I don't underneath like leaving home to go to college I thought it was just for uni??
