We now know that there are three fundamental metrical planar geometries: blue, red and green, corresponding to Euclidean geometry and two relativistic or Lorentzian geometries. In each of these, there is a corresponding notion of spread. But how can we visualize what these other spreads mean?

This video show how to utilize our understanding of cross products and determinants representing signed areas together with the analogs of unit circles in relativistic geometries to give a simple and concrete interpretation of both the red and green spreads.
