It does make sense. Since Satan can’t be omnipresent he would need to have different devils appointed to different regions on earth. So he would be at the top then have lieutenants who have their officers oversee different regions and people.

I found this theory so interesting! I've studied mythology, mainly Greek/ Roman. Enjoyed the different take on the origin of these deities.

I have the exact same theory. I’ve studied so
many religions and the similarities seemed to want to distract us and so God had to bring Jesus to save us. God bless you

Makes sense to me. I've studied plenty of mythology and even the Bible calls the offspring of the fallen angels "the men of old, the men of renown" Hmm men of renown? like Hercules and Achilles and Gilgamesh for example? Likely so and all were sons of pagan gods. Legend starts somewhere.
