In a frozen apocalyptic future, Robin searches for her twin sister Jay. Plagued by memories of their planet which burned before freezing over, Robin and Jay stole an aircraft and set out to see if there were any trees left in the world. Unwilling to accept that her partner might be deceased, she faces forces which mock her voice and later confronts the huge creature which downed their ship. In the end she makes a hopeful discovery, keeping Jay's memory with her as she keeps moving towards the horizon no matter what.

Thank you so much for taking the time to watch Snowglobe. I truly appreciate all feedback, so let it rip! The film is my way of saying goodbye to a close friend with sounds and images that recall the 80’s sci-fi films he loved so much. For me, the film shares my own feelings of emptiness, doubts which rang in my ears (and I had plenty while trying to get this film made), and searching for a better future while being surrounded by fear—but it’s meant to be anything you want it to be. My hope is that some part of it resonates with you.

I tried to do the special effects in the old school way using scale models by Calder Greenwood and with practical creature effects by monster designer Bruce Mitchell. Deepest thanks to Dust for allowing this film to be seen. -Tim

“Did you forget your helmet has a gaping hole under the visor?” As if the story wasn’t confusing enough, all I can think about was how inappropriate that outfit was for the weather.

Okay, I get that the creator's intent was to present storyless-free imagery, but that's ten minutes of my life I'm not getting back -- if I want images without stories, I go to museums. First Dust piece I've seen so far that puts a grimace on my face.

Did I just overdose for 10 mins and 49 seconds?

i felt like there was supposed to be some suspense or intrigue, but it was undercut by the fact i couldn't see what was happening.

Style over substance. It's clear the filmmaker(s) emphasized visuals over a coherent story, which is a shame considering the overuse of effects and filters made it nearly impossible to follow what was going on.

60yrs ago, if you turned your cathode-ray tube TV to a dead station, you would get what was called "snow". Audio/visual white noise static. Much like this movie.

It bothered me from the beginning that her neck and chin were open, exposed to the apparently freezing conditions, and she seemed perfectly comfortable. Then the fire and the avalanche and the giant snow monster and the darkness and the forest and whatever that ending was. Couldn't find any story in there anywhere.

0:58 Bare neck walking on a snowglobe? With that freezing temperature wouldn't a warm turtleneck sweater be better?!?

Interesting film however it's just a confusing mish mash of images.

Why would you wear an open helmet in those conditions?

I kept hoping that this would pay off eventually, but nope. I want the 11 minutes of my life back.

Dealing with loss feels very much like this story. You feel like your in hell and cant see 3 feet in front of you. Rationale thought and decision making are crazy impaired. You can barely hear others giving you any advice. Death of others is like being left out in the cold.

I liked the chase music at the end❤ the movie itself was kind of incoherent and trippy.

I keep wasting my time watching these shorts with no story.

I know there are many armature films on Dust, but this was a very disjointed one.
This was like ideas from random scenes from over the past 70 years of sci-fi movies put in slideshow.

They should have named this *'Incomprehensible'* .

The hell just happened? As if the actions of beautiful women weren't already an enigma I didn't comprehend?! The bike was really cool though... so awesome sauce 😂l

I hope this has some meaning for the Author. I does nothing for me. I've never used hallucinogens but this is what I presume a bad trip would be like.
