Burial & Four Tet - Nova

Burial (Will Bevan) and Four Tet (Kieran Hebden) have done it again. Just released, March 4, 2012 through Four Tet's Soundcloud. First impressions hint at what could almost be a solo Burial track. The dark, brooding feel, familiar 4/4 kick drum and echoing vocals, hark back to much of the same sound as Burial's sophomore album, Untrue. For those unfamiliar, Untrue was released to critical acclaim and was the second-highest rated album of 2007 on Metacritic. Likely to be the thirteenth release from Four Tet's Text Records as TEXT013. No word yet on a date.

saw Four Tet last night in Leeds. He played this first. Knew it was special. Two of the best producers out there. Anyone who says electronic music has no emotion behind is mad.

I dont understand why an artist HAS to change his name? I mean an artist can produce whatever he feels like, its still HIM that makes it. And Burial especially, you'll always hear his sound. All the tiny little samples and perfections makes it so him.

It's been released silly, don't think you realize it but that clip of Feral Witchchild on youtube is probably all there is of that song, maybe. And then he also has tons of other songs built up, but, he's advancing man, he's not the same exact person who made untrue, he's had some different experience, time, so, as he's changing the music changing. All we can do is sit back, listen, and enter his world with him, together.
