I think "sure" should be used carefully as well. If you ask someone: "Did you like the movie?" and the person replies "Sure!" It could sound like you're trying too hard to be enthusiastic and you didn't actually like it...Or if more so if you don't say it with enthusiasm. Maybe that's just my take on it though. Anyone else think that can be a tricky one? I'm a native speaker just to clarify.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that "Sounds great!" is correct answer for offer, but it doesn't match to request. When somebody asks "Can I have a glass of water?", answering with "Sounds great!" seems strange for me.
