What is plant-based meat?
Plant-based meat is made by breaking down meat into its component parts - proteins, fats, water, etc - and recreating each component from a plant source. While plant-based meat uses soy or wheat, companies like Beyond Meat also make soy-free and gluten-free versions with ingredients like pea protein, potato starch, coconut oil and beetroot. In this way, plant-based meats bio-mimic their animal-based counterparts, in the way they taste, smell, and sizzle, right down to the way they bleed.

What is cell-based meat?
Cell-based meat is genuine animal meat that is grown from cells, outside of an animal. Rather than growing muscle tissue inside live animals, cell-based meat is produced by taking a few animal cells, without harming the animal. A mixture of nutrients are added, to grow those cells into a piece of meat in a clean facility. As a result, we get pure meat, the production of which doesn’t require antibiotics or slaughter, and doesn’t suffer from fecal E. coli, salmonella, or other contamination.

The connection to climate-change:
Worldwide, industrial animal agriculture contributes more to climate change than the direct emissions from the entire transportation sector combined (i.e. the exhaust of every plane, train and automobile). About 15% of all climate change can be attributed to animal agriculture. Plant-based and clean meat are far less polluting and far less wasteful.

Lady, just put a dimmer switch on the Sun and you're set. Otherwise, stop trying to control something only God can control - the weather.
