World's Loneliest Man Wanders New York Streets For A Bride

Lonely Robert Darling could be a contender for America's most desperate man - after wandering the streets for TWELVE years with a sandwich board looking for love. Bachelor Robert wears his heart on his sleeve - or rather on a sign round his neck - hoping to attract a wealthy lady to take care of him. Plagued with an unsuccessful love life for forty years, the 58-year-old resorted to extreme measures to find a suitor. Unemployed Robert from New Jersey, USA, spends two hours traveling to Manhattan twice a week on his quest for a soulmate. He wears a billboard declaring he is open to offers - which includes his phone number and email address. He takes his sign to upmarket areas of the city such as Wall Street, Columbus Circle and Times Square. Robert has also searched dating websites like Craigslist but has never had any luck. He often gets phone calls in response to his sign, but none are serious inquiries.

I have social anxiety disorder and panic disorder and I have no sympathy for this man. SA does carry a lot of loneliness with it no doubt but it makes you appreciate friendships and love moreso than the average person. The fact that he's looking for a wealthy wife is a slap in the face to those that just want love period. Fuckin hate golddiggers and users!!
