Tesla rolls out update 2024.26.3.1 with some major new features!

It's 30th July 2024 and my 2024 Tesla Model Y has just received an OTA (over the air) update version 2024.26.3.1 which introduces quite a few changes. In this video I run through the main additions and improvements.
The most significant changes are a new climate interface, better pre-conditioning and charging scheduling, YouTube music, Amazon music, parental controls, new games, navigation sub-destinations and more.

YTM is for Premium accounts. Which I have, and hate Spotify, but love YTM. I can't wait for the update. My Model Y doesn't have it yet. Nice video!

for heaven's sake people it's 2024 and there are ads on youtube every 30 seconds. I've had premium since it was called red about a decade ago and don't regret a single cent spent on that.

weather forecast and air quality is only to display it on a map, nothing to do with navigation. I also requires premium connectivity

The new ac update is annoying- after driving teslas for years, I am having to google how to adjust the force of the airflow now. Very counter intuitive, hating the new update, how do I keep a trickle of very cold air coming out as I drive? I used to keep it between level 1-3 and on the closest temp, now when I put it on the coldest temp, it has no way to adjust the force of the ac since they took away the 1-10 levels on the top/middle

Do you have your car set for ‘standard’ or ‘advanced’ on the software updates screen ?

Mine was set to ‘advanced’ after the last service appointment, but despite advanced being ‘receive latest as soon as available for your model’ the cars not wanted to pull 2024.20.9 or 2024.26.3.1 down (from 2024.20.7). Swapped it to ’standard’ and within a few seconds it’s stared to pull 2024.20.9 down, so interested to know if you usually have the standard or advanced set on ?

Does adding more junk app slows down the already slow processor like an intel atom? Most people have spotify, apple music and Tidal. I prefer Tidal for obvious reasons and it’s sound amazing on Dual motors.

Another question (sorry) do you get any air flow out of the rear centre console vents ? I can’t find (or I’m missing seeing) any options to enable or disable airflow out of the rear or under seat vents, but can’t feel many airflow even with the air on and fans set to max (and when sitting in the rear seat).

For the music, can you plug in a USB key/flash drive that has music etc on it and play from that? looks like Google wants your money to play your content

Those of you who have received this update; do you all have 2024 model Y's? I've spoken to several people know who have 2023 and older cars and none of them have this update.

Only got my Model Y a few weeks ago and this is my first major update, now impatiently waiting for the update, the schedule is something I thought come as standard as it does on my wife’s Nissan Leaf.
