Fan since 1988! My favorite jazz group. And let’s not forget the brilliant talent of Mark Ledford. May he and Lyle rest is peace!!

Hands down one of the most powerful pieces of music ever written. Been listening to this one for well over 30 years.

it’s Feb 2025 and this song still reminds me of relaxing by the ocean on a warm summer night! This is from one of my “all-time” favorite albums! Yes, I did say “albums”…😉🎶❤️

I first listened to Pat Metheny & Lyle Mays in 1981 when I received a CD as a gift from my then girlfriend entitled "As Wichita Falls So Falls Wichita Falls." That girlfriend is gone but I am still listening to this great music in 2023. Amazing arrangements and musicians! I

What a beautiful arrangement. Everyone was in their groove yet all one. Bassist Steve Rodby set the pace and maintained the flow for everyone throughout. The Lyle Mays solo was like a beautiful snowfall in the moonlight. And Pat took us up to the mountain top where we could stare in awe at the lush green valley below at The End of the World.

Sounds as good in 2025 as it ever did. Hard to imagine another pair like Metheny and Mays...

When Lyle lowers one shoulder and raises the other: he's giving those keys all the smoke. RIP you gifted genius.

Been listening to him for over 35 years. The band, the sound, the dynamics, the energy, the groove and talents of each one is unlike anything anywhere. It moves my soul and puts chills in the center of my bones.
