Just finished installing my Ridge 125 with the Puget 2X lever on my 2021 Rockhopper. This is my first dropper post and it was a very easy install. If you are doing yours for the first time I recommend watching the dropper post install and the lever install videos before attempting your install. Then measure your seat post height to the top of the seat post, not the hardware which holds the seat post in. It makes it easier to put the dropper post in at the right height. Do a dry run of everything before installing. I took notes of each step to refer to during the install. Total install time was less than two hours. The post works great. It goes down easily and the return is smooth.

I have the Cascade and Puget 2X lever combo and I just love it. I followed the instructions and have had zero issues. It's so buttery smooth and pops back up every time. No violent return, silky smooth right to the top. The only thing I wish it had was a cleaner way to hide the crimped cable end under the thumb lever. It kind of sticks out and there's not way to hide it snugly underneath the lever. Like if you had another hook to put the crimped cable end into for example. I do have the cable in the first little hook but that doesn't keep the crimped end snug underneath part of the lever. I did rotate the lever bracket down so that helps hide it better. Starting at 2:24 shows what I'm talking about.

Super clear easy to follow video.

I do have some criticisms of the lever itself after installing it; while I do appreciate how low the price point is on this one and it still comes with a quality jagwire cable with plenty of length for any routing imaginable, the build quality on the lever itself was quite sloppy.

The noodle fit very sloppy into its hole to the point where it would rattle and flop around even with the cable as taut as it can reasonably go. To solve it I had to wedge on a small length of heat shrink tube onto the small end of he noodle, then slowly work it into the hole then cutoff the excess with a razor blade. It wasn't perfect at that point but it at least didn't rattle around.

Also the pivot for the lever itself is quite sloppy, I thought it might have been the axle being loose but no dice. I don't really have a quick fix for it that I can think of, maybe some thin washers to take up the slop. As is with the lever fully pushed in the cable likes to pop off the silver guide because of the lever wobbling off center.

I don't regret buying it at all over the other cheap knockoff levers at this price point, its great that you can get this from a reputable company and support them and LBS's for the same price as a no name brand one. However there are definitely some tolerance issues that if resolved could make it so much better without having to add anything to it to jack up the pricing a lot higher.

Nicest focus, camera work and details ie. the cable guide cam in the lever witch I could not identify on the trail after malfunction, ”because of cable Frey”

Hi whenever I do this. I go to drop the post and the cable seems to jump and slackened?

This lever sucks. The cable tensioning cam has no channel and the lever slides off when you pull it.
