Don't keep starting fluid in your car. Aerosol cans are under pressure and the fluid is extremely flammable, combine that with the heat of your car sitting in the sun it's a disaster waiting to happen

nice to see Scotty settled in which ever city he ended up in. i can't imagine hauling around a garage full of automotive supplies in a Celica. 😆

Great video, to be prepared. The trunk though, is a problem on some cars. On my 06 Buick lacrosse, if the battery dies or the electrical latch goes bad, there is no external key lock on the deck lid, that older cars normally came equipped with, so you can manually open it. If that stuff's in the truck, you can't get to it. So I carry that emergency stuff on the back seat floors.

Anything Scotty works on needs more then starting fluid and a jump.

Whats the best way to clean fuel injectors on a engine that sat for years. Can I hook straight to the fuel rail with cleaner?

It doesn't matter if it's a junker or new, they all have the ability to die.

I really thought Scotty was a better mechanic than to recommend engine killer! Fine on diesels, not on gasoline.

. I disable ignition and fuel. Remove fuses. crank 3 times for 20 seconds to get oil pressure. if sitting for years oil in cylinders let sit for a day or so. starting fluid causes heavy knocking.

Clunkers is all I can afford, but all my rusted cars run fine like a clock but the ones that one nice and shiny is broke down in the front yard 😂

You probably want to change the oil if the car has sat that long.
