Add Custom Textures To Minecraft Using Custom Model Data (Tutorial). In this video I am going to show you how to add a Custom Texture to your Minecraft with the use of Custom Model Data. This allows you to have the same item in-game with different custom made textures. And that can of course be used for a lot of things. It is really easy to do, so make sure to watch the full video and add some custom textures of your own.

This is a NEW Minecraft 1.19.4 tutorial. In this video I'm going to show you how to add custom textures to your Minecraft using something called Custom Model Data. Essentially, you Custom Model Data allows you to add new textures for a spesific Minecraf item, without replacing the base texture. So the item will still look like default in-game. But my executig a simple command, you can get that same item with a custom texture you added. It is extremely usefull for a lot of senarios. It's very cool, fun, awesome and poggers! This makes your Minecraft insane and amazing! Your players will absolutely love it! I had lots of laughs and fun. Hopefully you'll get some useful information from this video. I love Minecraft fun!

heres how you actually do the command:
/give [Player's Name] minecraft:(your number)]

FYI: your pack format must be at 34 and your .JSON files must be the same version as the version you're playing in minecraft.
go to the pack.mcmeta file to change the pack format to 34. Finally, next to the presets, choose the version that you want to play in minecraft. (for me, i chose 1.21)

If you change the 12 after the "pack_format": to 15 instead it will no longer tell you that it's outdated for version 1.20

GUYS! TO MAKE SUCH THINGS LIKE BLOCKBENCH MODELS, RENAME THE FIRST *RUBY*.JSON FILE TO RUBY1 OR SOMETHING ELSE, AND THEN DROP YOUR MODEL JSON FILE IN, IT WORKS AND IT DOESNT REQUIRE OPTIFINE!

The tutorial is very good but the truth is I was looking for how to add an item using custom model data but using a 3d model made in blockbench I hope that one day you can do the tutorial for that case

Now my question is, can I use custom data models items and use then as part of a kit? Let’s say rewards! Or using custom weapons, tools or armors? 🤔
