No. If we define "solve" as do something that moves the cube from an unsolved state to a solved state, it's impossible to solve a 1x1. The only thing you can "do" to it is applying the identity, i.e., not doing anything to it. So it's impossible to solve. Therefore the 1x1 is the hardest cube.

If you really think about it (no joking). The 1x1 IS THE HARDEST CUBE. You can’t really scramble it or solve it. It is in the same state. Its in both states. If you cant scramble it then thats hard, If you cant solve it…well thats hard too. Its like Schrödinger’s Cat kind of
