How a 1x1 Rubik's Cube Works

Показать описание
This Rubik's cube is the easiest and the hardest at the same time. It's 1x1 and the fun part about it is that it's always in the solved state. It seems pretty plain and straightforward, but many cubers call it the hardest one to solve. How's it possible? And what's the point?

Here's a tutorial for the 1x1 Rubik's cube. This type was invented in the late 1800's, even before the original Rubik's Cube. The puzzle has 6 faces of different colors and you can't solve it by making turns. You'll have to rotate the entire thing to bring it into the solved state.

You can solve a 1 x 1, but the trouble you may have is unsolving it.

The fact that the color scheme was off in the thumbnail is just the cherry on top of this entire thing.

Number of pieces on an n x n cube is (n^3-[n-2]^3).
Using this formula, you find that an n x n cube is the same as a (2-n) x (2-n) cube. And that a 1x1 has 2 pieces, both corners
