So next time you'll go to an Italian restaurant or you'll talk to an Italian friend, you'll say mozzarella, espresso or bruschetta correctly. :p

Don't forget to like the video, comment and share it with your friends!! Grazie :)

Thank you. People always correct me when I pronounce "bruschetta" with a "k" sound. They use a "sh" sound. Now I am sure I am pronouncing it correctly.

Thanks Sara. Here in India, there are many restaurants that serve "Italian" food. However, they do not even pronounce it correctly. Therefore, I wonder how authentic the taste is. Your video is really helpful. Keep adding more such videos!

Thank you so much! This clears up all this "Italian-American pronunciation" I heard growing up in northeastern U.S. Even a red man can tell that not all those letters are silent, haha! You calibrated my ears to the right way, and you have a very nice tone to your voice as well. It was easy to understand and the consanants were very clear.

Thanks so much! These words have become common now, at least in the Chicago area, so good that we learn the right pronunciation!

Thank you Sara. This is great.Too often these lessons are done by New Yorkers who just don't have the correct Italian accent .As a third generation Italian American My Grand parents spoke Italian as there first language as well as fluent English learned in America when they were very young. They never taught Me Italian but always insisted I pronounce food names correctly. They are gone now so it is nice to have a place to go to brush up as I still live in New York and love Italian food.Looking forward to more lessons.

Perfetto. Sara, this video is exactly what my wife and I should have watched before we visited Italy. Next time :) .My favorite pronunciation you shared: bruschetta. Too many of us say it incorrectly in the USA ! I hope you make more videos.

Thanks ma'am
Was quite helpful.
Found this tip - In Italian, the letter combination of 'CH' is pronounced as a hard 'K'.
Greetings from India!

Really enjoyed your video. I lived in Verona back in '56-'57 and was trying to learn Italian. You have brought back many fond memories of friends I had there. We would speak English half the day to help my friends learn more English, and we would speak Italian the rest of the day to help me learn. Didn't get to all the dishes, so this was very helpful. I do love Italian food. Thank you for your lesson. Ciao, bella ragazza.

Ciao, Sara! My ex-wife is from La Maddalena, and your accent so reminds me of her (don't worry, the memories are wonderful!).

Oh, and thank you for setting us goofy Americans straight on how to pronounce Italian foods correctly. You rock!

It's interesting to see that the way italians pronounce these names are very similiar to how portuguese speakers pronounce it! It's probably the Latin roots lol
