Everything on Date & Time in Excel. There are several ways to add a timestamp in excel, and in this tutorial, I'll explain a few. This is fast and useful.
We are going to Explain Functions and Also Keyboard Shortcut to add date and time in excel quickly.
First, we'll use the Today Function. You'll Have to write =Today () in any cell and press enter. It will add today's date in that cell. It's one way of adding a date in excel. Usually, Today Function Don't update automatically, but you can always change the settings to enable auto-update.
If you are looking for time and date at a time, then you can use Now function. You'll Have to write =Now () in any cell and press enter. It will add time & date at once in that cell. Now function auto-updates every time you open the workbook.
There are two more significant ways too add time and date in excel.
If you press CTRL+; it will add today's date to the active cell instantly. If you need to add time, then you'll have to press CTRL+ Shift +;. Now, if you need to add time and date at a time inside a cell, then you'll have to press CTRL+; and then Press Space bar and after that CTRL+ Shift +; for the time. This were some basics of time & date in excel. Of course, there are numerous ways, but these were convenient ways to add a timestamp in excel.
