It's not conspiracy. A group of people, other than the rich, always get blamed for poverty.

There is a wonderful British skit where three men stand around a plate of biscuits, a businessman, a labourer and an immigrant. The businessman takes all but one of the biscuits and says to the labourer, watch out I think he's going to steal your biscuit.

One of the last lines of The Big Short, a film about the 2008 crash, when Mark’s colleague says they’ll have to be loads of arrests, they’ll have to break up the big banks, the party’s over. “I don’t know, I have a feeling that in a few years people are going to be doing what they always do when the economy tanks, they will be blaming immigrants and poor people”

When 1% of the world owns 48% of global wealth. Thats the issue.

Keeping us fearful of our neighbours is exactly how the powerful in society ensure their coffers remain untouched. The rich get richer, they lie to you that it is based on merit and then tell you that the foreigners who worked their fingers to the bone to move into a safer place are the enemy.

They are. In America at least, Citizens United started right around the time of March on Wallstreet. Citizens united (even named to sound like a grass roots movement) meant that wealthy people could buy elections by pumping any amount of money they want into candidates. Look where we are now.

Right now, the concentration of wealth is at an unprecedented level. Even at its worst, ancient Rome was nowhere near the concentration of wealth in a few hands that there is today. The concentration of wealth now is 10 times more severe.

It’s no mistake that we have a privately educated hedge fund manager starting GB News and a privately educated trader running Reform!

That's not a conspiracy theory, it's a conspiracy fact

They redirected the anger and frustration over the government giving taxpayers money to wallstreet when they essentially lost it all in the housing market.

It was not about redistribution of wealth in todays terms, but rather, the redistribution of taxpayer money to pay for the mistakes of wallstreet.

Not a conspiracy. Cause and effect. Some peoples reaction to getting shafted is to look for someone to blame. Sometimes they identify the group to blame and sometimes they just blames groups that are different from them. Story as old as time.

The Maga crowd will be happy to see the price of food go through the roof as long as someone else is seen to be punished.
